Together It Gets Better

Free QPR Training

When: Oct 15, 7:30 PM | Where: WHS Lecture Hall

Please join Dr. Renee Penticoff and Dr. Robyn Janssen of the Suicide Prevention Collaborative, on Tuesday October 15th at 7:30 PM following conferences in the WHS Lecture Hall for a QPR Gatekeeper training and learn suicide prevention skills.  QPR stands for Question, Persuade, and Refer — the 3 simple steps anyone can learn to help save a life from suicide.

Just as people trained in CPR and the Heimlich Maneuver help save thousands of lives each year, people trained in QPR learn how to recognize the warning signs of a suicide crisis and how to question, persuade, and refer someone to help. Each year thousands of Americans, like you, are saying "Yes" to saving the life of a friend, teen, colleague, sibling, or neighbor. This training has been prepared for young adults and parents. The intended audience is for those 16 years of age and older. Thank you for your consideration.
